In continuation of its aim of diversification the group has forayed into the power sector. The group has setup a new entity namely Himachal Hydel Project Pvt. Ltd.

The object of the company is to set up hydel power projects in the foothills of himalayas. The company has been awarded licenses for setting up mini hydel power plants in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Licensing authority has approved the techno economic feasibility reports for the projects.

The implementation agreements with the authorities are being entered into. Land acquisition for setting up the projects is about to commence.
